Israel’s Public Defender’s Office has rejected defending any of the HAMAS terrorists captured in connection with the October 7 attack, as reported first in Hamodia and then in The Jerusalem Post.

“Thus far, no lawyer from the public defense has been appointed to a single case of Hamas terrorists or any other terrorist-related to October 7,” said the Public Defenders’ Office. “In our opinion, the procedure against these terrorists is not suited to the judicial procedure available today to deal with terrorists and terrorism.”

Israel’s most recent head of the Public Defender’s Office is Anat Meyassed-Cnaan. Adolf Eichmann faced the same problem in getting defense counsel. Defense counsel had to be brought in from Germany. Anticipating that problem led to the founding of this publication.

TribunalForum, as the paper of record for war crimes tribunals of those participating in the October 7 attacks and those thereafter against Israel, covers procedural and substantive matters related to any such tribunal.

TribunalForum’s Publisher Judiciocracy LLC, led by CEO Edward “Coach” Weinhaus, Esq., called for defense attorneys for the accused as early as October 24.

Other Israeli notables such as Israeli Minister of Justice Yariv Levin and Chair of the Knesset’s Constitution, Law, and Justice Committee MK Simcha Rothman applauded the move.
